KC Roofing & Scaffolding Ltd provides roof repairs, new roofs, surveys and in-house scaffolding across East London, North London and Essex. Established in 1992, we work on homes, residential blocks and commercial properties, with practical advice based on the condition of your roof.

A leak does not always mean a roof needs replacing. We assess whether a focused repair, a roof overhaul or a new system is the sensible option, then explain the proposed work in a written quotation.

Roof surveys before repairs or a property purchase

Understand the roof before committing to major work. Our condition surveys combine photographic evidence with an assessment of visible defects, practical repair recommendations and maintenance priorities. Drone inspection can help view difficult roof areas; physical access is agreed where safe and appropriate.

For homebuyers, a pre-purchase roof survey focuses on roof coverings, flashings, chimneys, drainage and signs of deterioration. We explain what was accessible and any limitations, so you can discuss the findings with your solicitor, lender or wider property surveyor. This is a specialist roof assessment rather than a full structural survey or mortgage valuation.

Repair, overhaul or replace?

Repair: address a local defect where the surrounding roof is sound. Overhaul: check the roof as a whole and agree a programme of maintenance and repairs. Replacement: specify a new roof where deterioration makes repair unsuitable or uneconomic.

Roofing and scaffolding planned together

Our in-house scaffolding helps coordinate access with roofing works. The access arrangement depends on the building height, frontage, rear additions, boundaries and the work needed. We discuss permissions, public protection and any specialist design requirements before work starts.

Clear quotations and written guarantees

For proposed roofing and scaffolding works, we provide a written quotation explaining the scope, materials and access arrangements. Specialist written roof surveys are a separate paid service, with the scope and fee agreed before booking.

Qualifying new roofs can carry company workmanship guarantees of up to 25 years. A 10-year CORC insurance-backed guarantee may be available on eligible projects, subject to scheme approval and a policy being arranged and issued. Repairs carry a 12-month company guarantee where specified in the contract. The terms, exclusions and cover for your particular job are confirmed in writing.

After you enquire, we review the information and agree whether photographs are sufficient for an initial assessment or a site visit is needed. We confirm the quotation timetable, then agree a start date once the specification is accepted.

A useful quotation should identify the roof area, the defects being addressed, the materials, scaffolding and waste arrangements, and any exclusions. Ask who will manage the work and which guarantee applies to the specified job.
